Access, correction, export and erasure requests are answered within one month, as UK GDPR requires. Most are dealt with well inside that.

What is kept if I ask to be deleted?

Only the minimum needed to prove the request was handled and to keep you off future contact — a suppression record. Everything else about the enquiry is removed.

Partner introductions: “I agree that Maybury Scotland Limited may pass my enquiry to no more than 3 businesses from these named categories — Law Society of Scotland registered estate agents or solicitor estate agents, conveyancing solicitors, RICS chartered surveyors, FCA-authorised mortgage advisers, quick-sale buyers where I have asked about one, and any trades I have selected — so they can contact me directly. Lothian Property will tell me the name of each business before it makes contact, and I can withdraw this at any time.”; Optional. Nothing is shared without it.
Email updates: “Email me useful property selling advice, market updates and relevant offers.”; Optional. Withdraw any time.

Who a partner introduction can reach — never more than 3

Estate agents and solicitor estate agents in your area. Firms registered with the Law Society of Scotland or trading as ESPC member agents, who would market the property.
Conveyancing solicitors. Regulated by the Law Society of Scotland, who would handle missives and settlement.
Chartered surveyors. Registered with RICS, who would produce the Home Report or a defect report.
Mortgage and financial advisers. Authorised by the FCA and listed on the Financial Services Register.
Quick-sale and cash buyers. Only where you have asked about a quick sale. They buy directly; they never act as your agent.
Trades and property businesses you asked us to quote. Only the categories you selected on a quote request, drawn from our published property services directory.

We name each business to you before it makes contact. We never sell your details or pass them to lead brokers.

It is not an estate agency: it does not sell property, act as an instructed selling agent, provide professional valuations, arrange viewings, manage notes of interest, negotiate offers or carry out sales progression. Where a homeowner asks us to, and only in line with the permissions they have given, we may share their details with independent estate agents and other property professionals so those professionals can contact them. Any estate-agency service, professional valuation or regulated advice is provided by that independent professional, not by Lothian Property, and is subject to their own terms.
